UDOM-YOUTH (Lastborns) empowers young people through leadership, professional development, and impactful community service projects within Dodoma and beyond.
Developing soft skills, project management, and teamwork through hands-on leadership roles and real responsibility.
Implementing sustainable projects that address local social, educational, and environmental needs in Dodoma.
Networking opportunities, career mentorship, and skill-building workshops that prepare members for life beyond university.
Most spaces ask young people to perform. To show up polished, ready-made, unambiguous. We built something different — a space that asks you to show up real, grow by doing, and lead through service.
"We don't wait to be ready — we grow by doing."
Since 2019, UDOM-YOUTH has stood at the intersection of university life and real-world impact. We are a bridge between students and professionals, and a pipeline into the Rotary ecosystem.
Membership is open to UDOM students and young professionals. Your voice matters here.
UDOM-YOUTH (Lastborns) is a Rotaract club chartered in 2019 at the University of Dodoma. We are a hybrid community of students and young professionals building leaders through service, fellowship, and professional growth.
The Rotaract Club of UDOM-Youth, fondly known as "Lastborns," was officially chartered in 2019 to create a space where young people at the University of Dodoma could grow as leaders while serving their community.
From the beginning, the club was built to connect students and young professionals to the global network of Rotary International, opening doors to mentorship, collaboration, and impactful service.
What started as a small group has evolved into a hybrid community of institutional and community members working together to create meaningful, sustainable change within Dodoma and beyond.
The way young people communicate and interpret the world is not a lesser version of adult discourse — it is a vital one. We honour that fully.
Who we become is shaped by what we talk about and whether we are truly listened to. We build spaces where that listening is real.
The ability to tell your story clearly and honestly is one of the most powerful leadership skills there is. We develop it deliberately.

Dodoma is Tanzania's political capital and one of its fastest-growing cities. For young people, it is a place of unusual possibility — close to power, close to institutions, close to the conversations that shape the country.
Home to the University of Dodoma (UDOM), the National Assembly, and a rapidly expanding civil society ecosystem, the city offers opportunities that few Tanzanian cities can match — if you know where to look.
UDOM-YOUTH is based here deliberately. We believe youth in the capital have a unique responsibility — and a unique platform — to think loudly about what Tanzania is becoming.
We curate this page for the community. If you have an event or opportunity to share, send it our way.

I joined to express myself and found a voice I didn't know I had. Kimbweta changed how I think about my own story.
This is more than a group. It is a space for real conversations — the kind that actually move you somewhere different.
UDOM-YOUTH doesn't ask you to be perfect. It just asks you to be present. That made everything possible for me.
